Of course we might think about it and have different options, and also change the words.
When I was writing I was thinking about the sensation of participating to the choices which affect communities, or the ones which require “transgression” in some form.
In these cases, the problem is not in the fact of “who does them”, but how they take place, or even if they take place at all.
Making a choice, participating to making a decision, is different from choosing between A and B which someone else (you don’t even need AI for this, of course) established.
The existence of a C option is fundamental. The possibility to perceive that there may be a C option is fundamental. The possibility to access the information, knowledge and tools to discover the C option are not enough: there needs to be culture, desire and possibility for transgression.
